HomeMy WebLinkAboutSeptember 30, 1982 Special SessionMINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING DENTON COUNTY MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 1 SEPTEMBER 30, 1982 THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF DENTON The Board of Directors of the Denton County Municipal Utility District NO. 1 met in Special session on September 30, 1982 at 5:30PM at the Board of Governors Room at the Trophy Club Country Club, 500 Trophy Club Drive, Roanoke, Texas within the boundaries of the district. The following officers and members were present: Dennis Diamond Jerome Svore John Peters President Vice -President Director Absent were : Ernest Steelman and Gilbert Jordan Also present were: Mike Page Attorney, Gibraltar Gary Sheffield Manager Trophy Club Harold D. Foreman Manager, Denton County M.U.D.#1 Donna Welsh Recording Secretary The meeting was called to order at 5:33PM by President Diamond. The visitors and professional staff were introduced. Mike Page, Attorney for Gibraltar, went over the changes in the Master Contract. President Diamond made the motion to accept the Agreement subject to coreections in Sections I-1 and Exhibit A, and also subject to review by Bob West,Attorney for the District. Director Svore second, motion carried unanimously. Next on the agenda was a proposal for the Line Printer. Mr. Foreman presented a letter from Rodney Hauth,Burroughs Account Representative that gave the costs. Mr. Foreman also went over the advantages of the 250LPM printer in use with the District. Director Svore made the motion to order the printer subject to re -affirmation at the Regular Board meeting. Director Peters second, motion carried unanimously. Next on the agenda was a tap used for a Sprinkler System that was found at Trophy Club Country Club with no meter. A billing schedule was set up for Trophy Club to pay for water used during irrigation months from October 1980 through September 1982. This was subject to re -affirmation at the next Regular meeting. Mr. Foreman then presented a study of a new Water and Sewer Rate REsolution. Mr. Foreman had done an extensive analysis of Water and Sewer rates in neighboring MUD Districts and Cities. He also, presented supporting exhibits that provided information on the minimal water rate increase necessary to comply with provisions of the Fort Worth Contract. After much discussion a water, a new Water and Sewer Rate Resolution was adopted ( see attached to take effect in October 1982. Director Svore made the motion Director Peters second, motion carried unanimously. page 2 There being no further business to discuss, Director Svore made the motion the adjourn, second by Director Peters, motion carried unanimously.
